Introduction to the series: Hymns of Hope

Music moves me. It’s a gift from God, a source of joy, and a constant source of wonder. As someone who also happens to love the precision of mathematics (yes, I’m a data scientist!), I’ve always been fascinated by the way these two seemingly different worlds connect. So, when I was searching for inspiration for this blog, it seemed natural to combine my passions and explore the rich world of hymns. ‘Hymns of Hope’ will be a space to celebrate these powerful songs, uncovering the stories behind them and the musical elements that make them so special. With so many to choose from in the Seventh-day Adventist Hymnal, where should we begin?
