As I listen to my creativity, I am led to my Creator

This quote from the book “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron sums up the journey to this blog creation.

I was stuck in a rat race.  I worked with numbers and model people behaviour using mathematical models. As much as my logical brain loved the process of putting things in order and spotting pattern in numbers, my creative child was screaming inside and waiting to break free.

As a young child, I wanted to write but I was convinced by all the well-meaning adults who love me dearly and wanted me to “grow up” and get a “proper” job. My creative child in me was locked away and I stepped into this world and become something else, someone else.

When I heard that voice screaming inside me in July 2017, I stopped and listened. As I unlocked the door that hid my creative child inside, she ran free. She ran like the wind and took my hand. She led me into my Creator’s hands and I found myself again.

I’m creating this space to document my creative journey. How I cast my doubts and fears aside with the help of my Creator and my Saviour. The Bible is my inspiration for all of my creativities. I’m reminded that I’m created to create.

If you are reading this, I pray that you will find the safe space to explore your creativity just as I have found mine. Let’s sit and bond together by the well of God. Let’s draw from His well and be reminded that we are all created by the highest creative power in the universe, our awesome God.

With love from the little corner of my home in Melbourne, Australia.
